McDonald's France warns customers of Listeria found in their salads
The fast food giant made the announcement not long after their outlets in America did the same with the cyclospora parasite.
McDonald’s France posted a public advisory earlier this month, warning customers that there could be Listeria found in their Chicken Caesar Salads sold between July 9 and July 14.
The fast food chain, having around 350 branches affected across the country, strongly urges the public who have eaten it to go have themselves consulted by a doctor in case symptoms of the infection have surfaced. Symptoms of Listeria include fever, muscle aches, nausea/diarrhea, stiff neck and convulsions while affecting the central nervous system.
The Listeria outbreak have recently been reported in several countries among Europe, Australia, and the United States and have already advised the public to keep on a lookout as the bacteria can mostly be found in food.
The McDonald's France franchise currently has more than 1380 stores in the country. Their announcement comes after McDonald's branches in the U.S. alerted the public about an outbreak of the cyclospora parasite.
