Welcome Break starts click and collect roll out

The service is being trialled at their Burger King outlet in South Mimms.

Motorway service operator Welcome Break has launched its first click-and-collect ordering and payment service at Burger King at its South Mimms (M25) site, ahead of a wider roll out across more brands and sites over the summer.

The new service allows customers to browse the menu and pre-order meals and refreshments through the Welcome Break app and select their collection time before paying for their order.

During pick-up, customers are told to display the order number sent to their app and collect their meal.

The technology used is powered by QikServe’s Preoday platform. QikServe also partnered with Moto, another motorway service operator, for a similar click-and-collect scheme.

“Our number one aim is to give our customers a safe place to stop, whilst providing a best in class hospitality service. We want our customers to have a seamless, stress-free experience when they visit and following a successful trial we look forward to rolling this service out across all our sites over the summer,” Welcome Break chief information officer Kash Ghedia said.
