Bakery retailer Wenzel’s signs first-ever franchise deal with Southern Co-op

The first franchise store opens in Guildford on 10 September.

Bakery retailer Wenzel’s has signed a franchise partnership with Southern Co-op in an agreement arranged by Seeds Consulting.

This collaboration marks Wenzel’s first-ever franchise agreement, enabling the brand to expand into new regions across the UK.

The first store under the new franchise model is set to open in Guildford on 10 September, with further locations in the pipeline.

Founded in 1975, Wenzel’s is a family-owned bakery retailer headquartered in the Northwest, London.

Led by founder Peter Wenzel and CEO Sarah Wenzel, the company operates over 100 stores across the South of England and is renowned for its breads, pastries, sandwiches, and sweet treats.
