Bread Ahead, Nordic Bakery to rise at Seven Dials
The two bakery chains are opening new locations at Seven Dials.
Shaftesbury announced that Scandinavian bakery and coffee shop, Nordic Bakery, is to take a 928 sq ft site at 55 Neal Street. In addition, Bread Ahead Bakery has recently opened its second site in London at Seven Dials, with a 520 sq ft unit located at 1 Monmouth Street.
Nordic Bakery’s new site at Seven Dials will be the brand’s fourth in London and part of their ongoing expansion plans in the capital. The café will serve a range of products based on genuine Nordic recipes and ingredients, including smoked fish and their unique take on the Finnish cinnamon bun. Scandinavian influences can also be seen in the brand’s interiors, created by an in-house team. The café is due to open by December 2016.
Bread Ahead began as a supplier to Borough Market in 2013 and this will be the brand’s second site following the success they have had in South London. They have also recently been awarded ‘Best Baker’ in the London Slow Food Awards. The new Seven Dials location will offer freshly made, filled brioche buns and the brand’s popular doughnuts.
