
EIPC hosts annual European Supplier Conference
European Independent Purchasing Company Limited recognised suppliers and partners to its annual European Supplier Conference, held at the Beaumont Estate Hotel in Windsor.
Owned by Subway Franchisees, EIPC is a non-profit making organisation that delivers financial and service benefits to Franchisees through volume purchasing and pan-European supply chains.
Over 280 representatives from supplier and partner organisations across Europe attended the two-day event. Speakers at the event included Bryan Griffiths, CEO of EIPC, Manaaz Ahktar, Regional Marketing Director, Europe for the Subway brand, Abbie Gregory, Director of CSR and Product Management at EIPC, Justin Goes, Regional Director, Europe for the Subway brand, Dennis Clabby, Executive Vice President at Independent Purchasing Cooperative, Greg Madigan, Area Development Manager UK and Ireland for the Subway brand and Hans Fux, Area Development Manager, Germany for the Subway brand.
Attendees were also treated to a presentation by guest speaker and BBC journalist and Business Editor, Robert Peston, who provided a insight into the current economic climate and forecasts for the UK and Europe.
As part of the conference, EIPC held its annual Supplier Awards, which recognise and celebrate the important role of suppliers in helping to grow the business and ensure the success of Franchisees.
The awards recognised the hard work and excellence of both companies and individuals, with Barclaycard named ‘Innovation Partner of the Year’ for its integrated card payment solution.
Fresh produce supplier, Haluco BV won the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ accolade, while David Vinckier from ADH took home ‘Account Manager of the Year’. The ‘Franchisee Service Provider of the Year’ award was given to Arthur J Gallagher (AJG) which consistently ranks highly amongst Franchisees for its service delivery, responsiveness and diligence.
Special Recognition Awards were presented to Geordie Lindsay-Russell of Transactor Technologies and Dean Madden from PJ Produce. The team from Dew Valley took home the ‘Food and Packaging Supplier of the Year’ accolade, while Engie won ‘Commercial Supplier of the Year’.
The final award of the night was ‘European Supplier of the Year’, which was awarded to Golden Foods Siam for its work with EIPC driving animal welfare and sustainability improvements.
