Fat Phill’s expands footprint to Ireland under new franchise deal

This is Fat Phill’s second international market entry.

Amsterdam-based smash burger brand Fat Phill’s has signed a multi-unit franchise agreement in Ireland with a local operator, brokered by F&B franchise consultancy Seeds Consulting.

The deal marks Fat Phill’s second international market entry, following the brand’s expansion into the UK in 2024.

The newly signed agreement includes a development plan to roll out multiple locations across Ireland over the next five years.

As part of the agreement, the brand will open its doors in June 2025 in the former Leon unit in Temple Bar, Dublin.

Founded in 2019 by Armin Vahabian, Fat Phill’s has grown to 20 locations across the Netherlands.

The brand is known for its smash burgers, American-style sandwiches, and loaded fries.
