Independent pizzeria Zia Lucia sets path to 100 restaurants in five years
The brand’s franchise business partner is GNF Worldwide.
Independent pizzeria Zia Lucia aims to open 100 restaurants in the next five years, according to co-founder Gianluca D’Angelo.
"We have received lots of inbound interest to bring Zia Lucia to new markets. We strongly believe there is a massive space in Europe and beyond for an innovative pizza brand like ours. Our differentiated product offering anchored around the four doughs coupled with the true Italian heritage of the group allows us to offer something distinctive in the casual dining segment. We will partner only with high-quality and vision-aligned operators while continuing to grow our corporate stores in a controlled way. We see a path towards 100 stores in the next five years,” D’Angelo said.
This proclamation comes after Zia Lucia announced the opening of its new restaurant in Chelsea on 25 July and at the same time rolling out its new franchise model across Europe and the Middle East. This brings the brand's restaurant to 11.
To fuel its growth, Zia Lucia has teamed up with GNF Worldwide as a franchise business partner.
Since its inception in 2016, Zia Lucia has opened 10 eponymous sites across London over the past eight years, including restaurants in Wandsworth, Canary Wharf, Aldgate East, Balham, West Hampstead and Reading.
