Muffin Break to open first train station store
The bakery chain will open a new store on 24th September at the new Grand Central Shopping Centre, directly above the Birmingham New Street station.
The new store in Birmingham is also the first to offer Muffin Break’s new Grab and Go service, which caters to commuters looking for quick and healthy food options without having to queue.
Muffin Break General Manager, Lisa Brook, said, “Opening a store in a train station location is an exciting new venture for Muffin Break and one we are looking forward to building upon across the UK. The brand has delivered significant growth even through a tough period for retail, with 16 further new stores due to open before the end of the financial year, so there are plenty of opportunities for us.”
“In addition, the launch of our new Grab and Go service at Birmingham is one of many more in the pipeline. With the introduction of modern street food, combined with increasingly busy lifestyles, grab and go food options are now an expectation for almost all catering establishments and one we are keen to expand further as part of our offering. We have lots of exciting plans coming up, so we are definitely one to be watching.”
Foodco UK Managing Director Michael Arbuckle said, “We are extremely excited to be opening our first Muffin Break in a transportation hub, as well as pioneering the Grab and Go concept. We are looking forward to being part of the new Grand Central Shopping Centre and to providing future customers with healthy food options that they can easily pick up on their daily commute.”
