
Strut & Cluck opens in Shoreditch
The brand announced that a new restaurant will open in Shoreditch in Spring 2016.
Strut & Cluck will serve dishes inspired by Eastern Mediterranean home cooking. Dishes will include, Josper-Grilled Turkey Drumstick marinated in the family spice blend with roasted vegetables & herbs, tahini, pomegranate molasses and schug; Slow-Roast Turkey Thigh on a bed of caramelised red onions and sweet potatoes; and Turkey Sandwich Reinvented, grilled sourdough with hand-pulled turkey, pickled onion mayo, pickled eggs and feta-stuffed peppers.
A range of sharing dishes will also be available, such as Grilled Sourdough Sabikh Style, with a roasted aubergine slice, slow boiled egg & tahini; “Far East meets Middle East” lettuce cups of hand-pulled turkey, Asian greens, pomegranate, roasted almonds, tossed in a sweet & spicy sauce, topped with labneh, and; Whole Charred Cauliflower, labneh, pomegranate & sumac. Desserts will include Levant Milk Pudding with raspberry and rosewater treacle and pistachios, and there will be a selection of cocktails and craft beers to complement the dishes.
Strut & Cluck’s free range turkeys are sourced from carefully selected farms in East Anglia, where their diet is mostly made up of cereals grown at the farms. The turkeys are marinated for 24 hours with flavours inspired by Eastern Mediterranean heritage.
