Sushi and izakaya restaurant CHŪŌ lands in London
The restaurant has 40 different types of sushi and izakaya dishes.
New sushi and Izakaya restaurant format CHŪŌ will be opening its doors this July in London.
Promising a unique Japanese experience, CHŪŌ will offer ‘quick value quality’ sushi in a category-bending, tech-driven space, powered by Europe’s first Sushi Monorail system.
The first location will open on Paul Street, Shoreditch and will offer around 40 different types of high-quality sushi and izakaya-style dishes, with both counter-style seating and group booths.
Service at CHŪŌ will be enabled by a tech-driven Sushi Monorail system. Not to be confused with recognisable ‘sushi conveyor belts’, all dishes will be made fresh to order and delivered to guests by the Sushi Monorail directly to individual guest seats.
In what aims to be a category-defining launch, CHŪŌ’s Sushi Monorail allows them to reinvest operational savings directly back into ingredient quality, supporting and developing the team and operation to better serve guests - meaning the quality of food on offer will be what diners would expect for double the price in other parts of London.
Meanwhile, CHŪŌ go’ - a daytime grab-and-go offering and delivery will be available shortly after opening.
