Taco Bell comes to Chelmsford
The Mexican food chain opened its first high street restaurant in Essex on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Moulsham Street, Chelmsford.
“For years we’ve had fans from across the UK requesting a Taco Bell in their town, and Chelmsford was high up on the list,” Nick Dawson, General Manager for Taco Bell UK and Europe, said.
“As the County Town of Essex, Chelmsford is a great location for our first High Street Taco Bell restaurant and we’re proud to be working with our franchisee Dart Taco to add a new flavour to the restaurant options in the city.”
The Chelmsford restaurant is Taco Bell’s second store in the U.K. opening this year, and joins sites in Basildon, Thurrock, Sheffield and Manchester as part of the brand’s expansion strategy across the U.K. and Europe over the coming years.
To celebrate the opening, the first 50 customers of the store will receive a free Crunchy Taco on launch day.
