Three big brands prepare to launch at Springhill Shopping Park
Commercial property agent Lambert Smith Hampton announced that Sports Direct will open a brand new, two-storey superstore at Springhill Shopping Park this August.
The existing store currently houses both Sports Direct and Heaton Sports and will undergo significant refurbishment to become one of the largest Sports Direct stores in Northern Ireland, spanning in excess of 20,000 sq. ft.
Costa Coffee and Subway are also preparing to open their doors at Springhill Shopping Park in the autumn, each taking 1,800 sq ft sites. The retailer line up, coupled with the landlord’s forthcoming enhancement plans, is expected to drive footfall in excess of the impressive 175,000 cars that currently enter the park every month.
Ryan Kee, retail director at Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “This park is home to a unique mix of retailers, from fashion, sports and bargain retailers, to well-being outlets and a selection of food offerings. We have secured these tenants on the back of a strong existing line up and plan to work closely with them going forwards to attract new customers to the park.”
“Springhill Shopping Park, which is 198,000 sq. ft. in total, is ideally located on the outskirts of Bangor and easily accessible from the town’s main dual carriageway. The presence of a 68,000 sq. ft. Tesco on site guarantees footfall, assuring confidence in new retailers seeking growth opportunities.”
James Charlesworth, Asset Manager at Savills Investment Management, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sports Direct, Costa Coffee and Subway to Springhill Retail Park. The arrival and expansion of these tenants reflects our shared vision and commitment to creating a best-in-class shopping experience for all customers.”
LSH and Harvey Spack Field acted for Springhill Shopping Park. Costa Coffee was represented by TDK and Subway dealt direct.
