Tortilla to arrive in Glasgow
The burrito and taco restaurant is set to open its first site at the Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow, Scotland in June.
Richard Morris, Managing Director of Tortilla said, “We’re extremely excited to be opening our first restaurant in Silverburn. We are looking forward to serving our fresh, healthy burritos and tacos to the local community in our unique, fun and friendly environment. We are in the process of recruiting 20 full-time employees, and have been thrilled by the amount of applications we’ve had and the interest shown in our restaurant from the local community. We’re certain that burritos and beers will form a staple part of the Scottish diet in no time.”
Property Director, Rob Lucy said; “Scotland has been a key area in our expansion plans for some time, but only now with the opening of Silverburn’s leisure extension, has the perfect location for our first store become reality. We will move quickly now in securing new locations throughout Scotland with interest already for further sites in Glasgow and Edinburgh."
The store will continue to highlight the unique natural and raw design seen throughout its estate with inspiration drawn from San Francisco’s Mission District.
The opening in Silverburn, Glasgow will be Tortilla’s 29th store within the UK and is set to open on the 20th June 2016 at Silverburn Shopping Centre, Barrhead Rd, Glasgow G53 6QR
