
Yum Som opens in Leadenhall
Located at the top of Leadenhall Street, opposite The Cheesegrater, the grab and go restaurant serves up tender meat or tofu, crunchy vegetables and noodles or rice fresh-to-order.
The dishes include combinations such as the Som-O Classic: prawns, rice noodles, pomelo, Asian herbs, greens, peanuts & sweet lime, Toky-Yoyo: slow chicken, soba noodles, avocado, Asian herbs, greens & sesame, Nam Tok Beef: seared beef, rice, Asian herbs, greens, rice noodles, chilli & lime and 1,000 Smiles: aubergine, soba noodles, mango, crispy shallots, Asian herbs & sesame.
Light Rice Paper Rolls are available, encased in crisp fillings of Gunpowder Chilli (slow chicken, Asian herbs, beansprouts, peanuts, shallots and chilli) or Som-O Classic. Protein-packed Small Pots mix eggs & spinach, kiln roast salmon, crayfish or egg noodles with chilli and peanuts. The menu also features selection of soups and hot rice and noodle dishes including Malaysian Laksa or Tom Kha Gai soups as well as a variety of Yum Subs.
Yum Som offers smoothie bowls, with toppings of oat and almond milk smoothies with fresh fruit, nuts and seeds. Choices include Superfood banana, pineapple, mango and kale, or Festival with strawberry, raspberry, banana, pineapple, mint, peanut and honey. Creamy, warming porridge, are served with rolled oats, honey and fruit compote, or with miso soup. Yum Som’s signature dish – the sesame Shao Bing, a Taiwanese flatbread with omelette and Asian herbs- can be personalised with choices of aubergine, smoked bacon, spiced prawn or chilli pork.
Fresh fruit pots and pastries are also available alongside cold-pressed juices from PRESS, top quality Union Coffee and Teapigs range of teas.
