Abokado appoints Kara Alderin as managing director
She has been promoted from her position as operations director.
The healthy eating brand Abokado announced Kara Alderin’s appointment as its first ever Managing Director.
Kara Alderin, who joined the company in February 2018 as Operations Director, will also join the company board.
“I'm delighted to be promoting Kara into this role. During her relatively short time with us she's proven herself as immensely capable. The Board have been particularly impressed with her ability to understand the big picture and set strategic direction," Abokado co-founder and CEO Mark Lilley said. “Kara not only believes in the long-term vision for Abokado but also lives and breathes our values."
Alderin grew up in Norfolk and previously worked for independent pub operator Fuller’s, where she developed her skills through the business rising to Head of Operations, before leaving to join Abokado at the start of 2018.
Commenting on her appointment, she said: “Abokado is an incredibly vibrant and exciting brand to work for and I’m thrilled to be helping the company move into its next chapter."
