Byron appoints Simon Wilkinson as new CEO

The burger chain currently operates 53 restaurants across the UK.

Byron announced that it has appointed Simon Wilkinson as its chief executive officer.

Wilkinson has recently been a CEO Consultant to investment firm Carlyle Group and advisor to Parkdean Resorts. Prior to that, he was the CEO of La Tasca Restaurants before it was sold to the Casual Dining Group (CDG) where he became a board director and the Managing Director for Strategic Options.

During his two years at CDG, he integrated La Tasca and repositioned Café Rouge.

“Byron ticked all the boxes I was looking for; it’s a great brand, is now well funded and will be investing in restaurant refurbishments and positioning the brand to be the best in what is a rapidly changing market,” Wilkinson said.
