Casual Dining Group appoints Rooney Anand as their new chairman

He has replaced Martin Robinson who held the position since 2014.

Casual Dining Group, the operator of Las Iguanas, Café Rouge and Bella Italia, has announced that they have appointed Rooney Anand as the new chairman to replace Martin Robinson.

Anand is also the CEO of pub retailer and brewer Greene King, but will step down at the end of April 2019. He was also recently appointed chairman of education and skills charity WorldSkills UK from January.

“I’m very much looking forward to supporting Steve and the management team, helping them to build on the solid foundations they’ve established at CDG as they continue to grow and develop the business in the fast moving and competitive casual dining market,” Anand said.
