Domino's UK chairman Stephen Hemsley steps down

His resignation is effective 29 December.

Domino’s Pizza Group has announced the resignation of chairman Stephen Hemsley effective 29 December.

The board said that the group’s senior independent director Ian Bull will assume his position in the meantime whilst they search for a permanent chairman.

Domino’s UK praised Hemsley’s leadership which sought the company through its IPO and market capitalisation to almost £1.5 billion today, as well as launching more than 1,250 stores across the UK, Ireland and other international markets.

“It has been a privilege to play a part in the growth of Domino's to the brand it has become today, working alongside our talented colleagues and franchisees. After 21 years in the business, now is the right time for me to step back and focus on other interests,' Hemsley said in a statement.
