Josh Wyse appointed as co-managing director at HOP Vietnamese
The move is expected to allow the brand’s founder to focus on an upcoming fundraising process.
HOP Vietnamese non-executive director Josh Wyse has been appointed as co-managing director, the company has announced.
Wyse has been non-executive director of the company since its formation, possessing 25 years’ experience in the retail hospitality industry, including brand evolution and site selection for a number of brands. He was also an operations director of Tootsies and Dexters, and has worked with Diageo and Nestle on growing out-of-home branded concepts.
“Since opening our fifth site late last year at the bottom of the “Cheesegrater” building in the City, we have been consolidating its internal functions, including improving its offer and margins. Trading had been solid in an erratic market and we look forward to begin the largest new fund raising process that the business has embarked upon. We have a fund-raise target of circa £3m so the concept can secure its pipeline of sites for the next two years,” HOP founder and co-managing director Paul Hopper said.
“Bringing Josh into the co-managing director’s role will allow me to focus more on the upcoming fund-raise, which we expect will attract investment funds. He knows the business inside and out and will particularly focus on the operational side and our property plans.”
