Just Eat appoints Alberto Rey Villaverde as chief data officer

He will assume the post by 11 March.

Just Eat has hired easyJet executive Alberto Rey Villaverde as its chief data officer.

Villaverde will be responsible for leading the online food ordering and delivery service’s Analytics & Business Insights and Data Science teams, covering all aspects of business information, management information and reporting, as well as artificial intelligence, algorithmic development and machine learning.

“Alberto's expertise will help to position Just Eat as the market leader in data and analytics, as we further personalise our service and deliver our vision of 'Serving the World's Greatest Menu'. Brilliantly’,” Just Eat Interim CEO Peter Duffy said in an announcement.
