KFC Western Europe managing director Martin Shuker announces retirement
He will be stepping down in mid-February.
KFC Western Europe managing director Martin Shuker is set to retire after his 24-year career at the chicken giant.
Before assuming his current post in 2017, Shuker was KFC UK and Ireland (UK&I) general manager for 13 years, and saw the increase of the chain’s store count to 900.
“Demonstrating the legacy of the Colonel for the world’s best-known chicken restaurant over the past 24 years has been a huge privilege. Seeing the business grow and prosper is testament to the talent and amazing people at KFC, and I’m excited to watch the next chapter in the history of a truly iconic brand,” he said in a statement.
“Martin leaves an impressive legacy as a passionate and loyal KFC leader. He oversaw a brand transformation during his time leading our KFC UK&I and Western Europe businesses, as well as extensive sales growth,” KFC Global Chief Executive Officer Tony Lowings commented on his upcoming retirement.
Shuker will step down in mid-February. Filling his post is KFC Central and Eastern Europe managing director Oleg Pisklov.
