PAUL appoints Mark Hilton as UK CEO
Hilton plans to expand the bakery chain beyond the UK by seeking new franchisees..
PAUL UK announced that it has appointed Mark Hilton as CEO, replacing Jean-Michel Orieux who stepped down last year to assume the role as Non-Executive Director in the chain’s international office.
“He intends to develop the brand outside of London by opening up franchise opportunities, as well as continuing to grow the number of London sites through concepts such as PAUL Express. He will also oversee new product development with a spotlight on healthier and vegan options, whilst building on PAUL’s commitment to reducing food waste and increasing sustainability,” the French bakery chain said in a statement.
Hilton was the former CEO of Sphera Franchise Group — franchisee of KFC Romania, Italy and Moldova and Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in Romania, who has listed the group to the Bucharest stock exchange. He had also served as COO for Yum! Brands’s franchisee business in Europe.
After helping in establishing 17 PAUL franchises in Romania in his former non-executive post in PAUL International, Hilton sets his eyes for the bakery chain’s UK expansion.
“We will be looking to expand within London and throughout the UK, inviting investors to join the PAUL family as new franchisees,” Hilton said in a statement.
