SSP Group's Kate Swann resigns as Group CEO

She will be replaced by their UK & Ireland CEO Simon Smith.

SSP Group has announced that their group CEO Kate Swann will be stepping down on May 31, 2019.

Her post will be fulfilled by the group’s CEO for UK & Ireland operations Simon Smith “with immediate effect” a day after Swann’s resignation. They will working together in the next six month for the transitioning phase.

"Today we've announced another record set of results, growing earnings a further 24% and proposing £150m return of cash to shareholders, so I am stepping down at a time when the business is clearly in great shape, with a strong senior management team and enormous future growth potential,” Swann said.

"I am delighted to be appointed as SSP's next Group CEO. SSP is a fantastic business with excellent on-going growth potential. We have a strong senior management team and thousands of dedicated colleagues around the world, and I am confident that together we will continue to build on the success achieved,” Smith said.

The news of Swann’s resignation came after SSP announced their financial results for FY18 with a 24% year-over-year pre-tax profit growth to £184.4 million from £148.7 million.
