Giraffe World Kitchen announces first Qatar opening
The brand recently opened a slew of international airport locations.
Boparan Restaurant Group’s Giraffe World Kitchen is launching in Qatar at Hamad International Airport, Doha, as part of a wider worldwide franchise partnership with global travel entertainment player, Avolta through its subsidiary HMSHost International.
Trialling a new concept, the latest opening is home to the first Giraffe Burger to go, an extension to the World Kitchen. From the Classic Cheeseburger to the Mexicana Burger, the Burger Bar is contributing to almost 30% of sales on-site.
Open 24 hours daily, the latest Giraffe World Kitchen site will span over 244 square meters and can accommodate 135 covers. On the menu, the restaurant will offer the brand’s freshly prepared authentic dishes from around the globe, plus breakfast, small plates, drinks and desserts.
With bold signage emblazoned on the ceiling, the interior features playful graphics, bright colours and raw materials such as reclaimed timber. Bringing the space to life, hanging planters can be found above longer tables, whilst above the bar sits a statement feature using multicoloured yarn.
“We are delighted to continue working with HMSHost International, and now Avolta on the global expansion of Giraffe World Kitchen. As experienced travel experience franchisees, they are the perfect partner to represent the brand as we continue to grow internationally,” Satnam Leihal, CEO at BRG said
The new Qatar site follows hot on the heels of the opening of Giraffe World Kitchen in Barcelona Airport last month. Other Giraffe World Kitchen locations include Heathrow Terminal 5, Birmingham and Gatwick, as well as Barcelona, Malaga and Dubai International airports. Additional international openings will be announced later this year.
