Popeyes expands to Ireland
The chain’s UK operator said it has secured a pipeline of restaurant openings in the country.
Popeyes has secured a master franchise development agreement to launch in the Republic of Ireland, with the first restaurant set to open in Blanchardstown, Dublin, on 15 March.
The brand said it has a pipeline of restaurant openings, including a ‘megastore’ in the heart of Dublin.
Tom Crowley, CEO at Popeyes UK and Ireland, said the expansion is a natural step in their growth in the UK over the last five years.
“Ireland represents an exciting opportunity for us, as it’s a vibrant market with a strong and growing demand for convenient, high-quality food. Irish consumers are open to new food experiences, and we see a significant long-term potential opportunity to grow our footprint and really tap into the local culture,” Crowley said.
Popeyes currently has more than 110 restaurants in the UK, including two in Northern Ireland.
