KFC Canada to offer bamboo-based buckets
The environmentally-friendly items will be available in stores in 2020.
KFC Canada announced its plan in introducing buckets made with bamboo fiber as part of its commitment to sustainability measures.
The American fast food chain earlier disclosed its plan to completely source their material from recycled sources by 2020, and remove all plastic straws and bags from their restaurants by the end of 2019.
“We're proud of our sustainability journey and we want our customers to feel that KFC is dedicated to, not only providing Finger Lickin' Good chicken in every bucket, but also delivering it in a way that our guests can feel good about,” KFC Canada innovation manager Armando Carrillo said in a statement.
