McDonald's ex-boss fights back against sexual liaison claims
The chain sued Steve Easterbrook for allegedly having relationships with workers.
The former boss of McDonald's is fighting a lawsuit brought by the fast food giant that alleges he lied about sexual relationships with staff, BBC reports.
In a filing at a Delaware court in the U.S., Steve Easterbrook asked for the case to be dismissed, claiming the case against him is both "meritless" and "misleading".
It also accuses McDonald's of bringing its litigation in the wrong US state and mistakenly making a breach of contract claim.
McDonald's fired Easterbrook last year after finding he had a consensual relationship with an employee but sued him recently, alleging that the British executive had lied to the board about three additional relationships.
The fast food giant is looking to recover his pay-off, reportedly worth $40 million (£35 million), arguing it was obtained fraudulently.
