Farmer J secures £1.9m investment to support London expansion
The brand's third site is due to open in Canary Wharf this month.
Farmer J has secured £1.9 million worth of investment capital to support their London expansion.
The investment, which came from Imbiba alongside existing shareholders and angel investors, hopes to target "the gap in the market for nutritious, restaurant quality food, to grab and go." The funding will enable the team to expand from their current sites in the City of London in Leadenhall and in King William Street, with a third site in Canary Wharf due to open this month.
"We are delighted to be partnering with Imbiba. Their operational experience and sector expertise comes at a key time for us and this new investment will accelerate our growth across London," ," Jonathan Recanati, CEO and Founder of Farmer J said.
"When you combine the speed of service, fantastic product quality, very competitive price point, and flexible menu format, this is a very compelling business proposition,"Darrel Connell, Partner at Imbiba, said. "There is a strong proof of concept already in place in their Leadenhall and King William Street sites, and we are really looking forward to working with Jonathan and the team, helping with their growth plans.”
