German Doner Kebab posts almost 50% in like-for-like sales
The fast casual brand plans to expand in Saudi Arabia and in eastern parts of the US.
German Doner Kebab (GDK) reported a 49.8% increase in like-for-like sales on the back of its appeal to younger customers.
“Our innovative blend of fast casual dining has resonated with the needs of an ever-evolving market, which is being reflected in the phenomenal success of our stores throughout the UK and abroad,” managing director for Ireland and Europe Daniel Bunce said in an announcement.
The announcement comes amidst the gourmet doner kebab chain’s over £6m spend for its UK expansion. The fast casual brand eyes to open three restaurants by the end of the year and plans to expand in Saudi Arabia and in New York and New Jersey in the US.
German Doner Kebab had earlier reported that it planned to open 14 new stores by the end of the year.
