KFC shakes up its menu by launching mash, rice and salad as sides

The fast food chain is also trialling two fruity, sparkling drinks.

KFC announced a shake-up in its menu, featuring new sides across all sites in the UK and Ireland.

The new sides are mashed potato, which has been a staple in other KFC markets; a Southern rice dish with veggies and a garden salad with sweetcorn, tomatoes and buttermilk dressing.

The fast food chain is also trialling new sparkling drinks in two flavours - watermelon and lime and peach and honey.

The drinks will temporarily replace Pepsi offerings at the 40 stores where they are being rolled out in until September.
