Wagamama launches at-home summer menu
The move follows its weekly ‘wok from home’ cookery lessons.
Wagamama is launching its new summer menu designed to be eaten at home.
The new dishes, all under 650 calories, will be showcased on its home cooking show ‘wok from home’. The second season of the free cookery show, fronted by Wagamama’s executive chef Steve Mangleshot, will unveil the new dishes starting 10 June.
Inspired by Mangleshot’s latest trip to Japan, the 2020 summer menu highlights hiyashi, a cold ramen style dish typically eaten in Japan during the hotter months, alongside their latest collaboration dish, Shu’s Shiok Chicken.
“These new menu launches are so important to us at Wagamama. They keep things fresh and push us to keep innovating. This one in particular was really interesting, as we were introducing a whole new category to the menu. Although our restaurants aren’t currently open for dine in, we still wanted our customers to be able to enjoy our new bowls. So we thought, ‘Why not launch our summer menu virtually?’,” he said.
Along with never-been-seen-before dishes, Wok from home will include “lighter” classics and collaborations from their Noodle Lab test kitchen.
By the end of this month, Wagamama will have 100 restaurants and kitchens open for delivery and click & collect.
