Wagamama launches vegan children's menu

The chain wanted to encourage kids to “develop a playful palette”.

Wagamama has announced a new range of vegan dishes for kids, saying that it was the “obvious next step.”

The new kid's menu, available across the UK, features three vegan dishes and two different flavored ice pops.

Children can opt for a mini yasai ramen with rice noodles in a vegetable soup topped with fried tofu, seasonal greens, carrot, and sweetcorn. A mini yasai katsu curry with curry sauce or Amai sauce, featuring sweet potato and butternut squash deep-fried in panko breadcrumbs, is also available.

“After the huge success we’ve enjoyed with our vegan and vegetarian menu and seeing how parents loved how visiting our restaurants helped their little noodlers broaden their culinary horizons, we decided that introducing a plant-based children’s menu was the obvious next step. We’re encouraging kids to try new tastes and textures and develop a playful palette,” Wagamama chief marketing officer Ross Farquhar said.
