Street Kitchen Looks to Premiere in Broadgate Circle
The street food vendor is set to open its first permanent shop at Broadgate Circle on 15th June.
Mark Jankel, co-founder and chef, said “The opening of Street Kitchen, our first permanent shop since we began three years ago, is a huge landmark for us.”
“Continuing to serve the same organic and sustainably sourced British food to Londoners fast, we are confident that City dwellers near Broadgate Circle will welcome our quick and delicious ‘by-the-inch’ sandwiches – perfect for lunch – which can be enjoyed inside or on-the-go.”
Street Kitchen will be a 550 sq ft, 18 cover offering and will be selling ‘fast and accessible’ gourmet sandwiches Monday to Friday from 7am-9pm.
The menu will offer cut-to-size sandwiches by the inch and a selection of ‘grab and go’ salad boxes for lunch and dinner.
Available to eat-in or take-away, the sandwiches are made with bespoke focaccia bread and a range of organic ingredients. Fillings include charred organic broccoli with free-range eggs, smoky mustard mayo, pickled red onions and old Winchester cheese; and rare roast beef with caramelised onions, watercress, pickled cucumber and horseradish. Available in the evening, hot sandwiches include salt beef on rye with homemade pickle and sweet mustard; and lobster rolls with basil and shellfish mayo.
Diners can also enjoy a range of local beers from Camden Town Brewery, Partizan Brewing and London Fields Brewery alongside a range of English sparkling wines. Coffee will also feature, with a barista serving artisan coffees made by AllPress using beans roasted daily, alongside a selection of teas from the likes of Mangajo Green Teas. Other soft drinks include Fair Trade Karma Cola and Dalston Cola as well as fruit smoothies and juices by Chegworth Valley and Heron Valley.
