Inside Badiani’s second Florence gelateria
The dessert brand currently has 18 cafes globally.
Gelato brand Badiani has opened its second gelateria in Florence, featuring Mannerist art-inspired designs.
Located in the vibrant Via Tosinghi, the new cafe has a colour palette with shades of green and pink, a homage to the renowned Duomo's façade. The interior design, curated by Timothee Studio, seamlessly blends Florentine heritage with a modern twist. Utilising Prato green marble, leather seats, velvet curtains, and satin-finished steel, the gelateria offers a sophisticated ambience akin to a stylish lounge.
Spread across two levels, the ground floor hosts the gelato counter, bar, and coffee shop, whilst the upper floor provides an intimate setting, enhancing the overall appeal of the location.

The new cafe is near iconic landmarks such as Piazza Duomo, Via Calzaiuoli, and Piazza della Repubblica.
The Via Tosinghi cafe will also offer 28 flavours, including the legendary "Buontalenti," a signature flavour synonymous with the Florentine gelateria. Alongside classics, visitors can indulge in unique creations such as the "Dolcevita," which combines a Buontalenti base with cocoa sauce and hazelnuts, and the "Magnifico," a Buontalenti base with caramel sauce, caramelised peanuts, and milk chocolate.
Additionally, a special flavour inspired by a traditional Florentine dessert, the "Zuccotto," has been created exclusively for this occasion. The shop also offers single-portion treats such as Buontalenti biscuits, Buontalenti pinguinos with a chocolate coating, and other delectable options for those craving a delightful post-dinner indulgence.
Visitors can also enjoy a range of beverages, including coffee, frappés, and a selection of Italian aperitifs.
With this expansion, Badiani now operates a total of 18 shops worldwide, including two in Italy, 14 in the UK, and two in Spain (Barcelona and Sotogrande).
