Just Eat Takeaway announces reorganisation of customer services operations

Online meal ordering and takeaway company Just Eat Takeaway will be reorganising its customer services operations which could potentially lead to 170 job losses globally, a report by Reuters said.

In a statement, the company said it will close a customer service centre in Borehamwood, England and employees would be offered a chance to work instead in Sunderland, some 300 miles (480 km) to the north.

The news was first reported by Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad. In an internal company memo that the news outlet found, it said that the reorganisation was essential to help the company ‘on the way to profitability’.
