KFC UK & Ireland taps Kate Wall as new Marketing Director

Wall has been with KFC for almost five years.

KFC UK & Ireland has today announced that Kate Wall, currently Strategy and Innovation Director, will take the role of Marketing Director from 1 December.

Wall has been with the business for almost five years, starting her KFC UK&I journey as Head of Advertising & Retail in 2019, Wall was later promoted to Strategy and Innovation Director in 2021.

During this time, Wall has championed the development of the KFC customer value proposition to bring clarity to growth, and she has developed a consumer-centric three-year innovation pipeline tackling new growth occasions such as Lunch as well as fame-building product launches such as The Stuffing Stacker Burger and the Irish Chicken Fillet Roll Mor, as well remastered the controversial Fries.

Kate will be adding to KFC’s already strong female leadership team, working under the newly appointed Chief Marketing Officer, Monica Pool, who returned to the brand this autumn.

In her new role, Wall will lead the function into its next chapter, working with a cross-functional team across Brand, Media, Loyalty, Social, Consumer PR, CRM and Marketing Operations for KFC’s 1000+ restaurants and 30,000+ team members.

Kate and her team will be responsible for all consumer-facing elements of the KFC Brand, its strategic direction and its distinctive tone of voice. Wall will bring her exceptional skills as a commercial marketer to bolster the focus on driving sales, transactions and overall growth.

Complementing Wall’s new role is her continued dedication to excellence in the field as a Marketing Academy Scholar, and the eight years she spent at Mondelēz International before joining KFC, which involved her overseeing Cadbury’s product innovation which put Oreo and Daim into bars.  Where she played a fundamental role in the repositioning of Cadbury Dairy Milk.

"Kate's promotion to Marketing Director is a testament to her authentic leadership and ability to motivate teams through her infectious energy and incredible commercial acumen. We’re excited for this next chapter for our marketing team with Kate pushing boundaries, and unleashing unparalleled experiences that will not just connect but will captivate our customers like never before,” Monica Pool, Chief Marketing Officer at KFC UK&I said.
