Papa John’s inks partnership with Burnley Football Club
The move is part of the chain’s strategy in developing relationships with leisure venues.
Papa John’s has signed a new partnership with Burnley Football Club, which will see a new mobile catering unit to serve up pizzas to supporters attending home matches at Turf Moor.
“As president of PJ Restaurants, together with my valued team, we own and operate 68 Papa John’s franchised stores in the USA,” said Stuart Hunt, director of Burnley Football Club.
“As a partner in ALK Capital, I took over as a director of Burnley Football Club in January. One of our immediate goals is to improve the whole fan zone experience and we are making progress. For us now to introduce Papa John’s to the football club was a natural choice.”
“As well as providing a new revenue stream which can be re-invested back into the club, offering the facility to serve-up Papa John’s pizza adds to the fun and overall experience for fans watching the game,” Amit Pancholi, UK director of business development at Papa John’s UK, added.
“As a brand, we are actively developing relationships with leisure venues such as sports stadiums to ensure Papa John’s becomes available in even more locations across the UK, so our customers can enjoy our top-quality pizza wherever and whenever they choose.”
Papa John’s now has more than 500 stores in the UK.
