Burger King opens plant-based pop up restaurant in Spain
The pop-up arrives roughly five months after the chain tried one in Cologne, Germany.
Burger King has opened another plant-based pop up restaurant, located in Madrid, Spain.
The outlet, which will be in place for a month, will feature a meat-free menu of plant-based Whoppers, meatless chicken sandwiches, and vegan nuggets made in partnership with The Vegetarian Butcher.
The chain will also showcase the ‘Long Vegetal’, a veggie version of its classic Long Chicken item.
“We want to reach both people who base their diet on plant-based products and those who do eat meat but want to reduce their consumption,” said Borja Hernández de Alba, general manager of Restaurant Brands Iberia Spain and Portugal.
