Costa Coffee celebrates 50th anniversary by offering free coffee to app users

The promotion will run from 30 March until 1 April.

Costa Coffee is giving away free handcrafted coffee to mobile app users across its 9,000-plus Express coffee bars in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

From 30th March to 1st April, any registered Costa Coffee mobile app users will receive 300 points, the equivalent of £3, which can be spent in any participating Costa Coffee store or drive-thru across England, Scotland and Wales.

The 300 bonus points can also be used on any food item to the value of £3.

“We have also worked hard to revolutionise the self-serve experience, not only offering great tasting coffee but offering customers the contactless option to order their favourite hot drink through the Costa app, meaning there is no need to touch any of our screens,” a spokesperson for Costa Coffee Express said.

In a separate announcement, Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) added two new variants — vanilla latte and flat white — to its Costa Coffee ready-to-drink range.
