Paeonia celebrates Vietnamese Lunar New Year with red envelope giveaway

The envelopes will contain vouchers but five of them will contain up to £50 in cash.

Paeonia announced it will give away a hundred red envelopes containing special offers in celebration of Vietnamese Lunar New Year or Tết Nguyên Đán.

“Tet is very much part of Vietnamese culture. In Vietnam, red envelopes are given at social and family gatherings, including new year. Red symbolises good luck and is believed to ward off evil spirits,” said Paeonia owner Anh Pham, who is originally from Vietnam.

“There will be none of those at Paeonia from 1st to 3rd February, as our staff hand out lucky red envelopes to every customer who makes a purchase - until 100 have been given out.”

The envelopes will contain vouchers but five of them will contain up to £50 in cash, the company said. Vouchers will be valid until 28th February 2022 and offers include free toppings, 50% off the bill or even free drinks.

“This is Paeonia’s way of sharing a taste of the culture of Vietnam with our customers, thanking the visitors and residents of Windsor for supporting us since we opened and looking forward to 2022 together,” Pham added.
