Domino's Know Just How Cheesy Valentine's Day Will Be
26% more cheesy than a regular Saturday night.
Domino's, the pizza delivery giant, expect to deliver 4 million slices of pizza to homes across the UK this Saturday night as couples celebrate Valentine's Day at home. This represents a 26% increase on regular Saturday deliveries, with peak orders expected at 7pm.
Put in context, these pizzas contain enough of Domino's secret recipe tomato sauce to equal the weight of 51,571 bottles of sparkling champagne and enough mozzarella cheese to equal the weight of 73,673 copies of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Speaking about the expected bumper order night, Simon Wallis, Marketing Director at Domino's Pizza UK said "Over the past few years, we've noticed customers across the country are shunning overpriced and overcrowded restaurants in favour of staying indoors to enjoy a night of 'Pepperoni Passion' with their special someone... It (is) a delicious option for those who are looking to enjoy a slice of action this weekend".
