Greggs tops latest YouGov rankings

The bakery chain also took the top spot for the most improved UK fast food and pub brand.

Greggs ranked the highest in the latest YouGov BrandIndex rankings for UK fast food and pub brands.

The bakery chain garnered an average buzz score of 11, followed by Nando’s with 4.8, Costa Coffee (4.5) and Miller & Carter and McDonald’s, both having 3.1.

The buzz score are net scores calculated by subtracting the percentage of negative responses from the percentage of positive responses for each brand.

The bakery chain also topped the list for the most improved UK brands, improving by 5.4%.

KFC came behind with an improvement by 4.6%, then Pret A Manger (2.8%), McDonald’s (1.3%) and Starbucks (1.2%).

The results came from a survey conducted from 1 January to 31 December last year.
