Halloween boosted takeaways surge by 21%: report

Whether it is trick or treat or cheat day, Halloween season helped increase takeaway orders by 21% in the UK, according to Flipdish, which powers digital ordering for takeaway and restaurants.

Those living in Bromley, Barking, Dover, and Stock-on-tees, “with all areas seeing a 200% increase in takeaway orders compared to last Monday.”

Chips and cheeseburgers accounted for 6.35% of all takeaways ordered during Halloween.
