Wagamama launches free online cooking lessons

Recipes will be done by their executive chef.

Wagamama has launched a series of free online cookery lessons amidst the country’s ongoing lockdown.

Dubbed ‘wok from home’, the lessons will be presented by the chain’s executive chef Steve Mangleshot.

“This is the first time in 20 years that I’ve gone this long without cooking Wagamama food and to be honest, I’m missing it. So, I thought I'd bring the wagamama kitchen home so we can all get our wagamama fix,” Mangleshot said.

“The production value might not be up to our usual standard as it will be shot on an iPhone 11 but to be honest we’re making this up as we go along! My wife is the producer/director and my kids are the sous chefs. So it’s gonna be interesting,” he added.

The series will be seen regularly on Wednesdays here Steve will launch a recipe video, and Fridays where Steve will launch a store cupboard cooking challenge which will see him making new dishes with few ingredients. All videos will be hosted on Facebook, Instagram, IGTV and on YouTube.
