Costa Coffee extends loyalty programme to their express machines
The Costa Coffee Club loyalty programme, started in 2010, now has over 5.5 million users.
Costa Coffee’s on-the-go customers will now be able to to collect points on their Coffee Club app, now introduced to over 7,000 Costa Express machines nationwide.
The coffee chain claims the introduction of the digital loyalty scheme to their self-serve machines is a first for the high street coffee industry in the UK.
Through the new integration, customers will be notified of the Costa Express addition through the Costa Coffee Club app. In order to claim points, customers will scan a QR code on the machine screen using the app. Points will be issued in real time with customers able to spend their earnings in Costa Coffee stores.
“We understand the importance of delivering innovations to ensure our customers get the best experience from our brand. This extension of our loyalty programme enables customers to collect points at even more Costa Coffee locations on-the-go through Costa Express machines – an exciting move for our Coffee Club members who will be able to earn rewards faster," Arslan Sharif, Global Digital & Loyalty Director at Costa Coffee said.
“With the expansion of the Coffee Club loyalty programme scheme available via our machines, Costa Express customers on-the-go can enjoy quality coffee and benefit from the same rewards and VIP invitations as in-store customers,” Scott Martin, Founder and Managing Director at Costa Express added.
Since its 2010 launch, Costa's Coffee Club loyalty programme now boasts over 5.5 million users.
