Just Eat hikes restaurant commissions by 1%
The British market is exempted from the commission hike.
Just Eat Takeaway.com is increasing the commission it charges restaurants for its services by around 1% in most European markets.
"I can confirm that in response to rising inflation and higher operational costs, we are increasing our commission rates for the first time in five years in certain European markets," a spokesperson told Reuters.
The British market is a notable exception, the report said, where Just Eat competes with Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
In the first quarter of 2022, Just Eat Takeaway.com processed 264 million orders, roughly flat compared with the same period in 2021.
