Pret A Manger trials click & collect in eight Manchester shops
The chain also integrated their coffee subscription service as part of the move.
Pret A Manger has expanded its click & collect service in eight of their eleven shops in Manchester, following an initial trial in Media City.
Similar to online ordering through third party delivery partners, the company said a 50p Click & Collect Fee charge will be applied to any transaction.
Unique to the trial, subscribers to Pret’s new coffee subscription can now also order drinks for collection throughout the day at a time that works for them.
In a separate announcement, Pret A Manger said it has selected Tech Mahindra as its technology and digital transformation partner.
The five-year agreement will focus on streamlining and optimising Pret’s IT infrastructure through cloudification, systems re-engineering, consumerisation of IT systems and data engineering.
“To help us provide an even better service to its customers, we’re delighted to be working with Tech Mahindra to accelerate our business transformation and make changes to our global technology operations, ensuring our shops and team members have 24/7 access to technical support,” Pret chief technology and transformation officer Saran Venning said.
