Carluccio's raises £2m for Action Against Hunger
The chain has been a supporter of the charity since 2007.
Carluccio’s announced that it has raised £2m for global humanitarian charity Action Against Hunger.
A supporter of the charity since 2007, the Italian restaurant chain reached the milestone by including a discretionary 50p donation on the sale of one of their best-selling dishes, the Penne Giardiniera.
Staff also undertook additional fundraising activities, including their participation in marathons and cycling the length of the UK. Funds are currently supporting an Action Against Hunger nutrition project in Mali.
Carluccio’s has previously supported Action Against Hunger projects in Liberia, Zambia, Guinea, Burkina Faso and Senegal.
The partnership between Carluccio’s and Action Against Hunger began with the chain’s late founder, Antonio Carluccio, whose namesake foundation continues to raise funds for the humanitarian charity.
