Eighty seven new Costa Coffee cup recycling bins are now available across Roadchef’s 30 locations in part of the latter’s waste management initiative.

“Working closely with Costa to recycle disposable cups takes us another step closer to becoming the first motorway service area operator to achieve zero landfill status. Improving awareness around recycling at businesses like ours has a knock-on effect for our customers, as it means they’re more likely to recycle at home,” Roadchef CEO Mark Fox said in a statement.
Roadchef has also introduced waste management initiatives like cardboard recycling, turning 220 tonnes of coffee grounds into biofuel and buying all energy from renewable sources, including on-site solar panels, saving 480 tonnes of CO2 per year alone.
