Crussh outlines sustainability commitments
It announced the removal of plastic straws from all stores, as well as the introduction of reusable cup discount.
From the 14th of February, Crussh will give a 25p discount for those bringing in re-usable coffee cups. Crussh sustainability commitments include removing all plastic straws from its business, beginning a trial of compostable cutlery in selected stores, and finding a sustainable, recyclable solution for its disposable coffee cups.
Crussh Fit Food & Juice Bars head of marketing Helen Jones said, "As well as removing plastic straws from our business by Easter, we’re delighted to introduce a discount on all hot drinks to customers bringing in reusable coffee cups. We’ll also be selling Ecoffee cups in our stores and will give customers a free coffee when they buy one. The reusable cup discount is just one of the initiatives we’re working on this year to help reduce our waste; more information about our aims for the year can be found on our blog."
E-coffee cups will be sold at all Crussh stores (excluding Sainsbury’s Pimlico) costing £8 each. They will be sold alongside Crussh reusable water bottles, costing £3.
